Procedures of teaching

I showed them my lesson plans that I have prepared from Thailand but those topics have been already taught. So the counselor told me to choose the new topics and class that I want to teach 11th grade in animal tissue chapter because I thought that chapter is easy to organize the various activities and instructional media. I hope my students will get knowledge and pleasure to learn about animal tissue.

When I taught students, they participated in my activities well, and they were exited and interested in teaching materials. They asked me and tried to find the answers from my activities. Every time I taught them, they were active in the activity.

I started teaching by asking students about previous chapter that have learnt. After that, I introduced new chapter by asking or giving them some games to keep students interested in new chapter. Then I presented new lesson for them. My teaching method was students center. I had activities for students to do and let them learned by themselves. I was an adviser for students. Sometimes, I have worksheets for students. Finally, we summarized together.

According to teaching performance that followed my lesson plan, the students concentrated, paid attention and participated with my teaching and the responded instructional media follow the object because there is technology instructional media. My instructional media was so interesting to get the student’s attention.




Time management and organizing activities

I separated 3 steps of lesson: Introduction, explicit instruction, and review and closing. Introduction, I used around 15 minutes, I asked students about previous chapter or sometimes I had some games for students to review previous chapter or warm up. Explicit instruction, I let the students work as a group work. The students had to find information and discuss within their own, this activity was taken 55 minutes. Review and closing, I provided students to present their work or used plicker application and power point presentation. Since my teaching performance followed the lesson plan, I could manage time well.




Problem-solving

Some students did not understand some biology vocabularies, so I had to explain its definition several times.
